Conformation Classes

Conformation classes are offered for the novice and experienced handler.......

Conformation classes are run September to June in the London area. For the experienced breeder/handler this is an opportunity to socialize puppies and work your dogs to keep them "tuned in" to what is expected of them in the ring. For the new person a chance to learn and meet others already in the sport.

Monday evenings, 6:30 - 7:30 at Pets Plus Obedience School, N. Rutledge Rd., Hyde Park

Cost $9.00 per handler - you can work more than one dog during the class

For the beginner I offer a four week course which introduces you to the world of dog shows and showing. It provides insight and an overview giving you an opportunity to either review or learn about this sport. Week one is strictly a question and answer session about how shows are run, what to expect and what you should know before venturing into it. The balance of the time is spent working with your dog, learning ring procedure including instruction on ring patterns, tips about showing and conditioning your dog and generally assisting you to become comfortable and at ease in the ring.

Have been showing dogs over 25 years
Work with Junior Handlers and have judged Jr's at the zone finals 2007
Finished my Bernese Mt Dog as well as put a CD title on him and certified as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog
Since 2000 have run weekly conformation classes with many different breeds
